first I made this drawing, second the water-color and
now I am in doubt of the red papers!

birthday

Today is my birthday, this box d'inspiration is the gift of my daughter.
 I was a bit emotional and realized again that the best gifts in life are
 your children!!!

This is a dry point etching, the image is scratched into a thick acetate plate.

I added real gold leaf on the flecks.

I added a piece of paper from a old book about Dutch flora and a 

real dry leaf of the buttercup attached with a french knot.
